Bokenkamp Children’s Shelter in Corpus Christi opened in 2006 and provides a safe, temporary environment for hundreds of unaccompanied children. Bokenkamp Children’s Shelter is state licensed to care for children ages 0-17, however, currently serve children 12-17 years of age who receive lifesaving support, including food, clothing, shelter, case management, education, clinical, medical and spiritual care.
Children at Bokenkamp are supervised and supported by professional staff 24/7 which encourage their personal and academic development and empowers them with skills and resources to take the next steps toward productive lives once reunified with family members or sponsor.
