Making a Splash with San Antonio’s Foster Families

San Antonio’s Upbring Foster In Texas (FIT) Christmas party was immersed in interactive family fun, for the kids and adults alike, this year and staff did an amazing job coordinating for our San Antonio-area families. Taking place at the San Antonio Aquarium, where “Sea-ing is Believing”, the kids found everything from sharks and a stingray touch tank, to a rainforest with hundreds of reptiles!

One foster parent, Mrs. Ebert, attended with her four Primary Medical Needs children, all of whom she adopted through foster care! Licensed foster parents since 2000, Mrs. Ebert is a registered nurse who has a big heart for foster children with primary medical needs — vulnerable children who require extra care and attention due to terminal illnesses. The Eberts have fostered more than 30 children over the past 15 years and were named “2015 Foster Family of the Year” by the Texas Foster Family Association (TFFA).

Also in attendance were Pastor Don Adickes and his wife Marjorie who helped FIT staff with Santa duties and shared in the festivities. We appreciate the Adickes, our wonderful and faithful Upbring supporters!
