Care about yourself, have pride in yourself and don’t give up. – Mac Haik to the Krause girls
Mac Haik, Chairman and CEO of Mac Haik Enterprises and owner of 18 car dealerships throughout Texas, visits Upbring Krause Children’s Center in Katy every year to speak to the girls. A former professional football player who played wide receiver for the Houston Oilers, Mac has been a faithful Krause donor for 15 years and this year was no exception. He donated a pizza lunch, funds to purchase toiletries and allowances for the girls’ individual reward accounts.
During his recent visit, Mac spoke to the girls about his personal success story and encouraged them to always do their best. “You need to believe in yourself, because no one is going to believe in you until you do,” he emphasized.
Mac credits his mother as the inspiration who led him to help others. “She would say, ‘there’s nobody better than you, but you aren’t better than anyone else either.’” The message Mac delivered to the girls was direct and important: To help others and to respect everyone, especially themselves.
Thank you Mac Haik, for caring about Krause, sharing your wisdom, and continuing to support the center year after year.
