The young women residing at Krause Children’s Center are in treatment for severe abuse and neglect, and while they dream of futures filled with opportunity, most fear such dreams are out of their reach. The local West Houston Philanthropic Educational Organization (P.E.O.) group doesn’t think so, and recently presented a check to Krause, to be applied to the general welfare and healing of the girls.
P.E.O. International, established in 1869, is one of North America’s oldest women’s organizations, with nearly 6,000 chapters and 250,000 members. P.E.O. is all about reaching out to women in local communities, to help them attain their educational goals and experience an improved quality of life. P.E.O. grants are awarded to help women achieve economic self-sufficiency, reach their highest aspirations, and to provide emergency assistance as needed.
Krause Children’s Center is honored to be a recipient of P.E.O.’s faithfulness and generosity.
