Kicking off the holiday season by shopping at the Trinity Place Apartments’ Annual Bazaar in Round Rock has become a tradition for friends, families, and neighbors of the residents who live at this hidden gem of a senior community. The Bazaar was held last Saturday, November 9th, and as usual, the tables were loaded and the joint was jumping.
How could anyone resist the great BARGAINS on homemade baked goods and handcrafted items. The hottest gifts this year were the sock animals that practically flew off the tables! The jewelry was snapped up for Christmas presents-to-be—no doubt because there was a great selection at such affordable prices.
The Annual Bazaar benefits the resident’s fund at Trinity Place. Funds raised are used to purchase items for their monthly birthdays, holiday activities, bingo prizes and community service projects. In the past they’ve made donations as a group to victims of wildfires and hurricanes.
Each year the grand finale of the bazaar is a BIG raffle drawing. Raffle items included a Netbook, iPod, iPad, original artwork, lots of gift baskets, many of them specially themed. The last prize drawn was a 46” flat screen TV.
If you missed the Bazaar last weekend you missed a fun shopping opportunity and a good time, but remember … there’s always next year!
