Lights. Camera. Action! Red Carpet Night at Trinity Place

TP gala awardsAwards season culminated on May 29th, with a Hollywood-style gala at the Trinity Place Apartments in Round Rock. Residents got the star treatment, stepping out onto the red carpet dressed to the nines, with the local paparazzi snapping away as the honored guests walked the runway with their escorts.

Once inside, the 37 VIP residents were treated to a sit-down dinner with food from the Olive Garden, and were waited on hand-and-foot by volunteers. The 16 volunteers—made up of Trinity Place board members, family members of the residents, along with Trinity Place staff and their family members—did a great job of making the celebs feel like the royalty they are.

After dessert was served, it was time to present the awards. Nothing so ordinary as Best Actress in a Drama, or Best Original Whatever, each award was as unique as the people who won them:  MuuMuu Mama, Trinity Place Trumpeter, Passionately Purple Person, Quilting Queen, Dr. Pepper Diva, Hot Salsa Mama, Elite Escape Artist, Needling Magician … well,  you get the picture.

Property Manager Sherry Houston also presented awards to staff members Kym Brown and Mike Mathias, for their indispensable assistance putting on this glam and star-studded event.

Toward the end of the evening, champagne glasses filled with sparkling grape juice were raised high for a toast to the Trinity Place residents and volunteers. Residents were then escorted to waiting carriages and chauffeured back home.
