Today is your day.
You’re off to Great Places!
You’re off and away!
Oh! The places you’ll Go!
— Excerpt by Dr. Seuss
June 9th was a day of celebration at New Life Children’s Center! Two young ladies were honored at a high school commencement ceremony upon completing their high school requirements. The new graduates had the chance to dress up, in full cap-and-gown regalia, and entered the room to the strains of “Pomp and Circumstance.” Graduations at New Life are a rare occasion, and truly something to be celebrated, because most of the girls are struggling to complete high school, and leave the center before they do.
Kellie Ragland, principal of Trinity Charter School at New Life, presided over the commencement program and conferred the degrees on the two graduates. New Life spiritual director Laurie Iten delivered the invocation, and both girls gave short speeches.
The future looks bright for these two girls and everyone at New Life and LSS is so proud of what they have accomplished!
