Friday, Aug. 8, was a very special day for three families and the LSS domestic adoption team. The final legal steps of the adoption process for Finley, Ana and Lillian, now all 8-month-olds, took place within minutes of each other in the presence of their families and friends during a consummation ceremony at the Travis County Courthouse. Tanya Graham, Kristen Ellis and Rhea Pettit enjoyed witnessing the joyous occasion and captured photos to provide as keepsakes for the families.
All three girls were born and placed the same week in January 2014, followed by a blessing from LSS Board Member Rev. Michael Newman and celebration held for the three families at LSS headquarters in February. Read more on the “Think Pink” blog.
Each of the families has been very supportive of one another during the post-placement period, occasionally meeting for coffee dates and library story times. They all bonded during the adoption process and enjoyed getting to celebrate this final ceremony together.
Congratulations to these forever families and thank heaven for little girls!
