Volunteers from 34 churches all over Round Rock unified to help their neighbors in need on Saturday, Oct. 25 and Trinity Place Apartments was one of the lucky beneficiaries.
“Love the Rock” is a campaign that challenges church congregations, in and around Round Rock, to show their love for their city by serving others. Love the Rock’s mission is to join together as the body of Christ in Round Rock to put the gospel on display by serving our community as Christ has served us.
More than 75 volunteers showed their love for Trinity Place, a HUD-subsidized LSS senior community, on this special day by tackling a few major landscaping projects. Volunteers planted trees, spread mountains of dirt and rocks and beautified the property overall by replacing old plants and weeding and edging flowerbeds.
It was a beautiful day to toil in the soil, and residents enjoyed watching all the activity while admiring the glorious results. Love the Rock volunteers promised to return again next year – we’ll definitely welcome them with open arms, along with another Trinity Place to-do list!
