Employees from DigiTec, an imaging and information technology company in Sugar Land, threw a tailgate party for all the Krause girls. What a fun-filled day! There was a bouncy house with a slide and a bouncy sports station. Along with face painting, an egg toss game (they loved it), and BBQ box lunches, DigiTec brought a DJ for entertainment. The DJ took requests from the girls, which set off rounds of dancing. The girls couldn’t decide what they liked best – bouncing, dancing, tossing eggs, having their faces painted, or hanging out with volunteers. It was an awesome Saturday at the Krause Center!
The Digitec visitors had a great time too. In their words:
“Working with the Krause Center was an amazing experience. Being able to spend a day with the staff and girls was both rewarding and enlightening. I appreciate the efforts of the Krause Center and support them fully in their mission. I hope to be able to visit again in the future!”
“It was just great watching the girls enjoy themselves, dancing and playing in the bounce house. You could tell how much they appreciated it.”
“The range of emotions I felt during the event stretched from a broken heart to joy. You know these girls are hurting inside yet some of them found the courage to engage with us and enjoy themselves. I felt grateful to have met them and my wife and I discussed future volunteer work at the Krause Center.
“What a terrific place for these girls; so glad we could make a fun day for them. They are very lucky to have a place like this to help them in their time of need.”
“I am honored and humbled to have participated in the “Friday Nite Lights” Tailgate event at the Krause Center. The girls and the staff were amazing; it warms my heart still thinking of the loads of smiles, laughter and shrieks that filled the outdoor courtyard of Krause that afternoon.”
“Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to get to know the beautiful girls of Krause—through games, activities and just plain fun!”
