Murray Chanow
Senior Vice President of Strategic Process & Program Development
As Senior Vice President of Strategic Process & Program Development, Murray Chanow, MBA, oversees Upbring’s strategic process, community relations and risk and quality assessment departments. He is also responsible for facilitating Upbring’s thought leadership and program delivery through a system-wide approach of integrated programs in communities across Texas with the goal of ending multi-generational child abuse.
Joining Upbring in 2013 as Statewide Recruitment Director, Murray brought more than 25 years of experience in strategic planning to his role as well as 18 years of knowledge in political and government affairs in Washington, D.C.
Murray earned a Master of Business Administration from Virginia Tech University’s Pamplin School of Business and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Bethany College. He and his wife, Linda, live in Austin with their two sons. When he’s not at the office, Murray serves his community as varsity coach for the Griffin High School basketball team. He formerly served as vice-chair for the McCallum Lacrosse Association, and board member for the TownLake YMCA and Northwest Austin Youth Basketball Association.
