Austin, TexasApril 26, 2016Upbring, the new Lutheran Social Services of the South, is pleased to announce the launch of a new recognition program to recognize outstanding public policy leadership for the benefit of Texas’ children and youth, and equally pleased to announce our first award recipient. Our inaugural “Faith In Every Future” Award will be presented to State Representative Cindy Burkett, who represents District 113 in eastern Dallas County. The award presentation will take place at Upbring’s Red Ball Ft. Worth on Saturday evening, April 30, at the Fort Worth Club.
