Alex is a three-year-old boy who currently lives in an orphanage in Eastern Europe. He has been diagnosed with neonatal cerebral ischemia, cerebral atrophy and hydrocephalus. Alex underwent surgery several months after his birth in which a ventriculoperitoneal shunt was placed. Alex shows delays in his neuro-psychological development and physical skills.
Alex has a good appetite and maintains a healthy weight. He does not show symptoms of seizures despite his diagnoses. Due to Alex’s diagnoses, he needs to be adopted into a loving and compassionate family residing in a country with developed medicine.
