Sophia is a two-year-old little girl with a big smile. She currently lives in a small orphanage in Eastern Europe. Sophia has been diagnosed with symptomatic epilepsy, internal hydrocephaly and a severe delay in neuropsychological development.
Sophia has a warm and friendly personality and loves to cuddle. She knows how to charm her caregivers and she receives a lot of attention. Sophia can stand up by herself and walk around with support. She reacts to noises and voices and follows moving objects with her eyes. She is good at making eye contact. She enjoys exploring her surroundings.
She has no established allergies to foods or medications. She cannot speak, but sometimes makes guttural sounds. Her swallowing and sucking reflexes are good. She has a healthy appetite and is gaining weight. Her sleep is stable and calm. Sophia has global delays and is receiving support and intervention from specialists within her orphanage.
