Six-year-old Thomas is in desperate need of a family of his own. He spent the first year of his life in a hospital, was with his birth parents for a few months after then has been living in an orphanage ever since. He has been diagnosed with severe developmental delays.
Thomas is currently attending Kindergarten and has a teaching assistant to help him with his daily activities at school. Thomas can feed himself with a spoon but needs adult assistance with other self-care skills. He reacts positively when adults spend time with him and talk to him. He is a good listener and enjoys when adults speak to him. He also loves listening to music.
Thomas is a quiet little boy who is not speaking yet. He expresses himself through body language and eye contact. You know when he is happy from his loud, contagious laugh. Thomas needs a family who understands his needs and will support him as he learns and grows.
