Moderate Mental Disabilities; Strabismus

Elijah is a five-year-old boy who currently lives with a foster family in Eastern Europe.

Elijah is physically healthy; however, he has been diagnosed with developmental delays, moderate mental disabilities and with strabismus, for which he wears glasses. His immunizations are up to date.

Elijah can climb and run. He enjoys playing with cubes by putting them into and taking them out of a cup. He enjoys reading and playing with puzzles. His fine motor skills have improved significantly over the last several months. Elijah works with a speech therapist and is progressing well. His vocabulary is growing, and he understands when others try to communicate with him.

He is a good rule follower and responds well when called by name or asked to complete a task. He assists in the process of dressing and undressing himself. He can feed himself and drink from a cup or a bottle.

Elijah is looking for a forever family to support and love him as he continues to grow and develop.
