Simon is a 9-year-old boy who currently lives in an orphanage in Eastern Europe.
He has restricted movement in his limbs and moves mainly using a wheelchair.
Simon just completed 2nd grade through an individual learning program. He knows and recognizes colors, geometric figures, names of animals, fruits, vegetables and other objects.
Simon is a positive, happy and radiant boy. He seeks attention and approval from adults. Simon initiates contact with others by waving “hello.” He participates actively in games and loves to sing children’s songs. He loves to learn and try new activities. He has some trouble focusing and like to move from task to task.
Simon knows his name and the names of the other children in the group. He can hold conversations with others. He is a good listener and can answer simple questions.
Simon can eat alone and sleeps through the night. He uses diapers and needs assistance getting dressed.
Simon needs supportive, loving parents to encourage him as he grows.
