Alice is 9-year-old, physically healthy girl living in a group home in Eastern Europe. Like most girls her age, she likes painting, singing, dancing, and playing with dolls. Alice also loves her brother, Alex, and she would like to be adopted with him.
As a second-grade student, Alice can read and write. She is friendly, cooperative and usually self-affirmative and benevolent. Alice constantly seeks adults’ approval, and she recognizes situational rules and regulations.
Alice is not shy. She communicates easily and maintains dialogue with her classmates. Alice also practices good hygiene, has a good appetite and sleeps calmly.
Alice continues to make progress in her current placement. She sometimes has trouble expressing her emotions, and she can be hyperactive at times. However, with positive structure and encouragement, she will thrive in her adoptive placement. Alice would benefit from working with a speech therapist to assist with her expressive speech, as well as enrolling in special education courses.
