Yoshi is a 5 year old boy who has lived with a foster family in Eastern Europe since 2013.
Yoshi has been experiencing delays in his neuro-psychological development. He was diagnosed with other generalized developmental disorders, including a lack of speech and there are some autistic traits in his behavior.
Yoshi is in good physical health, but lags behind in the development of his fine motor skills, speech and in his emotional and social development. He is integrated in a mainstream day care where a special education teacher, psychologist and speech therapist work with him regularly.
Yoshi walks independently without making unnecessary movements or falling down. He eats well, gains weight appropriately and sleeps with no disturbances. Yoshi is a calm and pleasant child. He is attached to his foster parent and responds well to her.
