New Hope Children’s Shelter was a vacant McAllen nursing home and assisted living facility when Upbring renovated and transformed the building and campus to help unaccompanied children in the Fall of 2014. New Hope Children’s Shelter is state licensed to care for children ages 6-17, however, currently serve children 12-17 years of age who receive lifesaving support including food, clothing, shelter,  case management, education, clinical, medical and spiritual care.

Children at New Hope are supervised and supported by professional staff 24/7, which encourages their personal and academic development and empowers them with skills and resources to take the next steps toward productive lives once reunified with family members or sponsor.

New Hope offers:
